The Gauteng Department of e-Government will from tomorrow 19-20 February host a Youth Tech Expo.
The much anticipated Expo aims to empower young people with digital skills, career opportunities and practical knowledge to leverage technology for social impact and economic inclusion.
The two-day will take place expo takes place at Vosloorus Civic Centre in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni.
The programme will focus on how young people can benefit from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other digital platforms, including practical ways of generating income through technology.
It will also feature influence-led demonstrations, cybersecurity awareness sessions on digital safety and crime prevention, and discussions on emerging digital careers, workplace readiness and the evolving nature of work in the digital economy.
The Expo will further provide access to opportunities such as internships, bursaries and business funding, while partners will share information on programmes and opportunities available within their organisations and sectors.
Participating partners include GREYCODE, Creators Ark, Fundi, Harambee, NEMISA and FNB South Africa, among others.
