Giving pupils medals for performing well in sport is more than just rewarding their achievements.
This was evident when pupils from various primary schools around Kagiso 2, West Rand collected their sports medals during a June 16 event held at their school last week.
EYETHU-YARONA, Nomfundo Zondo and Uthando Lwethu Foundations in partnership with Net99, Debonairs Pizza, and Boxer ensured this event was a success.
Another partners including Go2iceman, DNH Twins and KG Cricket Foundation have also contributed in making sure that the event achieve it’s mandate of the day.
Speaking at the event was founder of EYETHU-YARONA Foundation, Thokozani Mqina:
He said this kind of energy motivates pupils to want to work harder, build confidence, and strive for greater success.
He encourages parents to support these young athletes whenever they play their sports so that they’re able to succeed.
He believes that recognition for their efforts encourages discipline, dedication, and perseverance.
Thokazani said the medals will not only inspire them to aim higher in sport but also in their education, careers, and personal lives.
