South African women’s football took centre stage as the Hollywoodbets Super League Awards delivered a night of pride, power and pure winning moments at the Vodacom Dome in Midrand.
The annual awards celebrated the very best performers from the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League season, honouring players, coaches and match officials who raised the bar throughout the year. The ceremony, broadcast nationally, confirmed just how far the women’s game has grown in quality, professionalism and star power.
The night belonged to Leandra Smeda of TS Galaxy Queens, who walked away with the biggest honours. She was crowned Player of the Season and Top Goal Scorer, finishing the campaign with an impressive 22 goals, a clear statement of dominance.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies also enjoyed a strong showing. Their tactician Godfrey Sapula was named Coach of the Season, while Karabo Dhlamini claimed Defender of the Season, underlining the club’s winning mentality.
Rising talent was recognised too, with Bonolo Mokoma of JVW FC taking home Young Player of the Season, a reward for her standout performances and bright future. Jessica Wade, also from JVW FC, was honoured as Midfielder of the Season.
Between the posts, Dineo Magagula of TS Galaxy Queens earned Goalkeeper of the Season, while match officials Jean Ndebele and Nolitha Mhlomi were celebrated for excellence in refereeing.
