CONSISTENCY and staying injury-free are crucial for Mamelodi Sundowns to win silverware this season, especially with the tight schedule they have.
The yellow nation have the Betway Premiership to defend and the CAF Champions League final to win this month of May.
Sundowns have won their first CAF champions league title in 2016, beating Zamalek 3-1 on aggregate.
It has been 10 years now since they defied the odds to win their first Champions League title and became the second ever South African club crowned champions of Africa.
Pirates are the first Mzansi team to win the trophy back in 1995.
Before this final, Sundowns has been consistent in the CAF champions league competition and last year they reached the finals but lost to Egyptian side Pyramids FC.
The question now is: Are Sundowns going to be victorious this time around and bring back big smiles to the faces of its supporters and the nation at large?
Or they’re going to defend the Betway Premiership title?
The pressure is definitely intense at this stage. Support from their fans can make a big difference, giving the players that extra boost on the pitch.
And of course, hoping for a slip-up from Orlando Pirates adds another layer of hope. The Betway Premiership is interesting than ever before. No team is quaranteed to win the Betway Premiership title this year as both teams are on form.

It’s going to be an exciting few weeks for South African football.
Sundowns have to win all their remaining four league matches for them to be crowned 2025/26 champions, winning it for the eighth conservative year.
While The Sea Robbers will want to end their 10 years drought and make their supporters happy. Pirates must win all four of their remaining league matches and hope Sundowns slips in one of their remaining matches starting from tomorrow when they host Polokwane City in Pretoria.
