Football Club has welcomed back youth product Sphesihle Maduna, with the 26-year-old midfielder rejoining the club as Arthur Zwane’s side continues to strengthen its squad after two matches into the 2026/27 season.
The Ladysmith born midfielder returns to Usuthu having previously represented the club during the 2022/23 season.
Following his departure, Maduna went on to feature for Cape Town Spurs and TS Galaxy before making his way back to the club where his professional football journey began.
Maduna expressed his delight at returning to AmaZulu and the opportunity to once again wear the famous green and white colours.
“I’m glad to be back at AmaZulu Football Club, a club that gave me an opportunity to play professional football. I’m excited to wear the green and white colours again and look forward to playing a part in achieving the team’s dreams and goals this season,” said Maduna.
His return adds further depth, experience and familiarity to the Usuthu midfield as the club looks to build on its fourth-place finish in the Betway Premiership last season and push for an even stronger campaign in 2026/27.
